Join Christine for four weeks of yoga to support you and your baby during pregnancy and birth. The practice explores finding comfort and rest for your changing body and nervous system.
I have three decades of midwifery and yoga experience and first qualified as a yoga teacher in 2004. My interest in pregnancy yoga developed during my own pregnancies and births and I believe my yoga practice supported my positive birth experiences. In recent years I undertook further training and have an additional 300 hours specifically dedicated to pregnancy yoga an empowering practice that can support a healthier and more comfortable pregnancy, that ultimately leads to an informed birth.
These classes are 75 minutes and suitable from 14 weeks of pregnancy up until and after your due date.
You need no previous experience of yoga, the classes are also suitable for those who have a current yoga practice.
Pregnancy yoga is holistic and guides in preparation for parenthood through the understanding and felt experience of emotional regulation and a deeper connection to your growing baby through breathing practices.
Each week there is an offer of a sharing circle that can create a space to gain confidence and get to know other mums. The classes are responsive and bespoke to meet the changing needs of everyone on a weekly basis. There is focus on releasing and strengthening during pregnancy and also resilience and surrendering practices to help you prepare for birth. The gentle approach offers opportunity for rest and relaxation during and at the end of practice.
