About Christine

I am a practising midwife and have three children, my yoga practice supported me during pregnancy and birth. I have practiced in all area's of maternity care with a strong career development in antenatal education and birth preparation.

Yoga has been part of my life since 1993. After I had my third child I decided that I wanted to become a yoga teacher and share with others how the practice of yoga can support a more comfortable and informed pregnancy and birth. My knowledge, skill and experience in both yoga and midwifery combine to offer bespoke classes that are centred around how you show up to class.

I have combined my wide variety of training to develop person centred perinatal yoga with a commitment to also bringing baby mindfully into the practice, feeling connected to baby during pregnancy has a powerful impact on your readiness for baby's arrival.

Yoga for pregnancy classes

• Thursdays 7.15-8.30pm
• £15 per class

What is also valuable about the classes I offer is that they are inclusive, sensitive and holistic. There is an opportunity for community connection and friendships, with an offer of an optional sharing circle each week at the start of class. Clinical advice is not part of the practice but I can signpost as necessary.

A typical perinatal yoga class is 75 minutes.

The practice is grounded and modified for pregnancy, set at a slower pace to give you time to feel into your changing body building resilience and confidence to tap into your own wisdom and intuition.

This empowering practice supports you to have advocacy for both you and baby. There are specific breathing and posture practices within each class to help prepare you for birthing.

The class always ends with deep rest supported by props.
