Emergency First Aid at Work day course

This is being run by Paragon Health Care Academy and is a an Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) qualification: a one-day course that provides you with the skills to provide emergency first aid to someone ill or injured, covering basic life-saving skills and valid for three years.  It is certified and valid if your insurance as a teacher or facilitator requires it. Or just come because it's useful and you could end up helping someone or even saving a life!

The course covers a range of CPR and first aid skills, including: 

• Basic Life Support: CPR, recognizing and responding to cardiac arrest
• Bleeding Control: Managing minor and severe bleeding
• Choking: Recognizing and responding to a choking incident
• Burns and Scalds: Providing initial care for burns and scalds
• Shock: Recognizing and managing shock
• Unconsciousness/Seizures: Providing care for unresponsive individuals or those experiencing seizures
• Communication and casualty care, defibrillator prompts and pad placement

9am-3.30pm including short lunch break - bring a packed lunch - we have tea/coffee making facilities and a microwave/fridge for your food if needed.
