Thursday evening class - what to expect
Tara teaches in a warm, down-to-earth way, welcoming students of all levels—from beginners to more experienced practitioners. Her classes progress at a relaxed, steady pace, with slow, deliberate movements and poses held for longer periods, guided by the breath and interspersed with moments of stillness to help students feel grounded, calm, and fully present. You’ll build strength and flexibility, improve balance and posture, calm the mind, and support overall wellbeing, including stress reduction, increased energy, and resilience to everyday aches and pains. 

Tara's first series kicks off at Maitri on 8th January

About Tara – Hatha Yoga Teacher (RYT 500)

Tara discovered yoga at her local gym and, while initially focused on general fitness, soon realized how transformative it could be. By 2012, yoga had become a central part of her life, helping her manage aches and pains from old injuries and everyday wear and tear, while also enhancing strength, flexibility, mental clarity, and overall wellbeing. Inspired by its profound impact, she is passionate about sharing yoga’s benefits with others.

A 500-hour qualified Yoga Teacher (RYT 500, certified 2024) trained in traditional Hatha Yoga, Tara’s training also includes trauma-informed yoga, mindful movement, yin yoga, meditation, and yoga nidra.

Inspiration
Tara draws on the traditional roots of Hatha Yoga to guide students toward grounding, strength, and presence.

Outside of Yoga
She enjoys spending time in nature, reading, gardening, cooking, and van-life adventures with her husband and dog.
