Since discovering mindfulness in 2015, I have meditated every day and am grateful for the joy and contentment it has brought me, enhancing daily life and helping me develop greater resilience in dealing with difficulties

Mum of three with a mindful cat called Roo and a meditating corgi called Dougal, Fiona previously qualified with a master’s in finance and accounting.

Courses and Classes with Fiona

Courses:

Mindfulness-based stress reduction course, based on the teachings of Jon Kabat-Zinn.

Dates: Tuesday 22nd February to Tuesday 12th April 2022
Time: 7.15pm to 9.15pm
Price: £250* (Early bird price £210 for bookings before 31st January)

This course includes:

  • 8 x 2-hour sessions discovering mindfulness meditations including the body scan, mindful movement, seated meditation practice and more
  • A full day retreat in a beautiful countryside location
  • Exercises to gain awareness about our own stress signature and how to discover more joy in our lives
  • 2 x guided meditation CDs
  • A 100-page booklet of supporting information and resources
  • Telephone or email support as required during the course
  • Daily home practice (carried out by students)

4 Week Mindful Meditation Course

Dates: Tuesday 18th January 2022 to Tuesday 8th February 2022
Time: 7.15pm to 8.15pm
Price: £45

The intention of this course is to provide the space and support for participants to develop or re start their mindful meditation home practice. The practices will be based on Jon Kabat-Zinn’s work and include the body scan, mindful movement, sitting meditation and more.

This course includes:

  • 4 x 1-hour sessions practicing mindfulness meditations including the body scan, mindful movement, seated meditation practice and more
  • Guided meditation recordings
  • A journal to complete home practice notes and insights
  • Telephone or email support as required during the course
  • Daily home practice (carried out by students)

Classes:

Monthly Meet to Meditate in Maitri Studio (Sundays)

Dates: 30th January 2022 | 27th February 2022 | 20th March 2022 | 24th April 2022
Time: 4.15pm to 5.15pm
Price: Price: £7 or a donation if cost is a barrier to you attending

This is a welcoming monthly class for people who would like a supportive group to practise meditation with. Practices will last between 15 and 30 minutes and will include: the body scan, mindful movement, sitting meditation and more. We also take time to communicate mindfully about our experience of our practice.


Weekly Monday mindful meditation on Zoom

Dates: Every Monday from 6th September 2021
Time: 7pm to 8pm
Price: £5 or a donation if cost is a barrier to you attending

This is a friendly on-line practice group. In a typical session we meditate together for 3 separate guided practices of between 5 and 30 minutes (e.g. mindful movement, body scan, sitting meditation, awareness of breath and more). In between practices we discuss mindfully our experience of our practice. The zoom link is emailed every week so contact Fiona to be added to this email list.
