Since discovering mindfulness in 2015, I have meditated every day and am grateful for the joy and contentment it has brought me, enhancing daily life and helping me develop greater resilience in dealing with difficulties

I am a fully qualified mindfulness teacher registered with the Mindfulness Teachers Association of Ireland (www.MTAI.ie). I adhere to their standards for teaching mindfulness courses. This guidance includes formal mindfulness training of at least 18 months, personal daily mindfulness meditation practice, engagement in regulation supervision, attendance on retreats and a high standard of ethics in relation to teaching mindfulness.

I am grateful for the joy and contentment that my mindfulness practice has given me, enhancing daily life and helping me develop greater resilience in dealing with difficulties.

I have been teaching the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course since October 2016. The participants have really benefitted from the course and found the practices greatly enhance their own lives.

I have three teenage children and previously qualified as an accountant.

I teach an eight-week mindfulness based stress reduction course, based on the teachings of Jon Kabat-Zinn. The course includes:

  • 8 x 2 hour sessions discovering mindfulness meditation – learning and practice
  • Included is a full day retreat 10am to 4pm in a beautiful countryside location
  • Practice CDs and teaching notes
  • Daily home practise (carried out by students)
  • Cost of each 8 week course £250.00 with early bird discount to £220
  • The next course here at Maitri Studio runs on Sundays 2 to 4pm on 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th October | 3rd, 10th & 24th November | 1st December. With the retreat being on 17th November.

I am also offering a monthly Meet to Meditate class for people who would like a supportive group to practice with. Meditation practices will last between 15 and 30 minutes and will include: the body scan, mindful movement, sitting meditation.
