I am experienced in working alongside people who are transforming the way they experience themselves and navigate life, by working through the impacts of complex trauma and adversity. I can assist you in moving out of despair, addressing panic attacks, obsessions and compulsions, suicidal distress, self-harm, or navigating altered states and unshared beliefs. My work is informed by the Power Threat Meaning Framework and recognises that much distress is driven by social contexts such as systemic racism, systemic homophobia, gender inequality and wealth inequality. Transforming how we see our problems can reveal a way forward.

My approach is to draw on a range of therapies and approaches and tailor these to your needs. The main therapeutic approaches that inform my work are Schema Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. I work with people recovering from the impacts of trauma, discrimination and adversity, and we can begin developing an understanding together if you are unsure what factors have contributed to your distress and difficulties. I am committed to digging deep to find ways to soothe and resolve the distress you have been enduring, so that you can move forward with the life you deserve.

I have founded Community Psychology Reclaimed to work with community organisations and collaborate with those who have lived experience of trauma recovery. I can provide feminist and anti-oppressive approaches to navigating a difficult world. I offer small groups and circles that allow you to access psychological approaches in a way that does not individualise problems and enables mutual aid between group members.

Even very long standing problems can be worked with, and it can be possible to achieve change even when things seem hopeless or stuck. I will work alongside you at a pace that feels safe, to explore what you have been carrying and find a way forward.
