I started writing this as a yoga / exercise for the over-50s, but then I was thinking age is just not a useful bracket! I'm lucky that I'm fit and healthy at 50, and I know lots of people who are incredible athletes a lot older than me. And I know that regardless of age and fitness, sometimes a slower class is just what you need because of all the other pressures of the world - jobs, family responsibilities, the burden of a hectic society that can be hard to set down and switch off, or even the time of year and incessant rain!
So whatever your reason, here are some classes to slow down with 😊 I may also say that almost ALL classes are suitable, just contact the teacher and let them know what you need. Check the class descriptions and the teacher profiles for more details. You're also welcome to email us [email protected] and ask. There's literally something every day of the week!
Monday 10am - slow flow / yin with Valerie (includes some light strength work)
Monday 6.30pm - hatha yoga with Lucie
Tuesday & Friday 10am - Iyengar yoga with Claire
Tuesday 6pm - hatha yoga with Tomek
Tuesday 11.30am - hatha yoga with Susan (definitely quite a few in their 80s in this class and still going at it!)
Tuesday 11.30am & Thursday 10.35am - chair-based yoga with Claire & Rachel respectively
Wednesday 10.30am - gentle breath-led yoga with Maggie
Wednesday evenings - gentle yoga with Jo 6pm or yoga for chronic pain with Deirdre 7.30pm
Thursday 1 & 2pm - t'ai chi with Julie-Anne
Thursday 6pm - hatha yoga with Tara
Friday 10.30am - Chi Me with Maggie
Friday 6pm - yoga for men with Tom
Saturday 11am - conscious movement with Becca
Sunday 11am - Cathy's stretch & soothe yoga
Monthly Thursday 7.30pm - yin yoga with Lucie
