Maitri Studio Open Day 2025

  • Date: May 10, 2025 - May 11, 2025
  • Time: 9am-5pm
  • Venue: Maitri Studio
  • Room: Maple

Come and find out what we're about!

Join us for our open day this year Saturday 10th May. You can sign up for taster classes, come and meet some of the teachers and facilitators, ask questions, and eat cake! It's a great chance to visit this established studio for wellbeing and more in East Belfast, learn about the classes and workshops we offer, or ask about room hire for your own events or therapies.

If you'd like to attend a class you will need to book through by signing up on the booking page and registering for the class you'd like to attend. All classes will have limited places. We ask for a donation towards each class of just £1, or more if you wish. This secures your place on the day and you must register for the class/es you wish to attend.

UPDATE: drop-in places will be available on the day but booking guarantees your place! Some classes (e.g. aerial yoga) are already booked out!

We'll have homemade cakes and a selection of refreshments on the day in our upstairs Lotus studio. Donations for these will go towards our fundraising efforts with the Belfast marathon relay. If you can't make it up the stairs, we can bring refreshments down to you!

** All taster classes are taken at your own risk. Please let the teachers know of any issues which might affect your practice. Listen carefully to your body and mind as you practise and bear in mind the essential yogic principle of ahimsa, non-harm.

Beginners find the down-to-earth nature of these classes highly accessible. Those who already practice mindfulness or other forms of meditation, find it can help them access a state of relaxed awareness more readily. (Max 16)

*Yoga nidra is a deep practice which can affect physical, mental and emotional states, and for that reason is often not recommended during periods of depression or anxiety. This short taster class may not be suitable under such circumstances as we do not have the time to ascertain safe practice for all. As teachers, it is our responsibility to explain benefits and limitations, not to exclude people but to help people find the practices which will be most beneficial. Everyone who attends has the choice to practise within their own boundaries and needs. We can only advise on suitability.
