Baby massage

Being a new parent can sometimes feel isolating and overwhelming. Coming to a term of baby massage or baby yoga offers you a chance for you to learn a life-long skill while having the opportunity to socialise with other parents and babies.

Baby massage is a lovely way to enjoy spending time with your new baby. Before babies can understand language, we mostly communicate and comfort them through the simple power of human touch. Massaging your baby is a great way to show your baby they are loved and help them to feel secure, safe, and nurtured.

There are many baby massage benefits such as:

• Helps you to really bond and interact with your baby
• Encourages your baby to relax and may aid sleep
• May soothe your baby if they are suffering from colic or teething problems

Sessions run over five weeks:

• On Thursdays at 10.15-11.15am - next course starts 22nd June 2023

The age ranging for baby massage is from six weeks old until your baby is six months, or very actively crawling.

Cecilia will provide a sample of oil that you may use on your baby and will also provide class handouts every week, so that you can practice at home and maybe even get the rest of the family involved.

The ideal age ranging for Baby Yoga is 8 weeks - 8 months.

Baby yoga is a lovely dedicated time to bond with your baby and there are so many wonderful benefits:

• Stimulates your baby’s brain
• Develops baby's confidence
• Improves muscle development

Cecilia is the founder of The Nurtured Baby Hub and has always been very passionate about parent and baby wellness. She has been a professional nanny for the past 16 years and over lockdown decided to fulfil her dream and train with Hands On Babies to become an accredited baby massage instructor. Since she qualified at the beginning of 2021, she has been running successful online sessions for lots of parents and babies. Cecilia has since completed her baby yoga training and offers it here too.
