Learn how to practice mindfulness

Practicing mindfulness can be life changing. Life can be full and demanding and we often feel as if we are on a treadmill, rushing from one demand to the next. We are frequently caught in rehashing the past and worrying about the future. Mindfulness allows us to get in touch with the present moment and begin to live life more deeply. It offers us the opportunity to turn towards difficult emotions and transform them, to touch happiness and live with greater joy, kindness and freedom.

The Mindfulness for Life 8-week course is an in-depth introduction to mindfulness. It is designed to empower you to develop a nourishing and resilient personal meditation practice. Over the course of 8 sessions and a one-day retreat, you will learn how to:

• Live more deeply in the present moment
• Nourish happiness through being present
• Embrace and transform difficult emotions
• Live with greater freedom and flexibility

In joining the course, you’ll receive access to a library of guided meditations to support your ongoing practice as well as a course manual. The course consists of 8 weekly 2-hour sessions as well as a day-retreat in week 6 or 7. This will take place on a Saturday or Sunday.

Participants of the course will be expected to:
• Attend all sessions if possible including the day-retreat.
• Devote approximately 45 minutes a day to the development of a personal mindfulness practice.
• Engage in the material with openness and perseverance during the whole course.
